For the study on the body temperature of rats, 15 % yeast, which was solved in 0.85% saline, was injected through the subcutaneous route and stainless steel needles were applied to the Sybsun-Hyul.
The results are as follows :
1. The body temperature of normal rats was between 36. 95℃ and 37. 21℃.
2. The body temperature of rat was elevated from 38.6 ±0.1 (℃) to 38.9 ±0.3 (℃) after 17 hours of 15 % yeast injection.
3. The temperature was brought down from 38.6 ±0.1 ℃ to 38.5 ±0.2 ℃ after 2 hours through application of acupuncture stimulation for one minute, but there was not significant change.
4. The temperature was not completely recover to normal range, but could be brought down from 38.8±0.1 ℃ to 37.4±0.2℃ after 1 hours by 10 minutes stimulation of acupuncture.
5. The temperature, which was done by acupunture venesection, was not completely recover to normal range, but could be brought down from 38.8±0.2 ℃ to 37.3±0.2 ℃ after 1 hour. And it has shown better result to acupuncture stimulation.
6. According to the above findings, there are antipyretic effects in both of acupuncture stimulation and venesection at the Sybsun-Hyul and it was improved that there was the difference in effects according to the duration of acupunture time.
